ELIGIBILITY

* Current student in good academic standing or recent graduate of a master’s or doctoral program (less than one year) in medicine, public health, or a biomedical science from an HSHPS member institution

* U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident

* Documented interest in improving the health of Hispanics through a career in medicine or public health (i.e. academician, practitioner, researcher, first responder, etc.) specifically in the areas of occupational safety and health

* Preference will be given to applicants who have completed at least 1 year of coursework ( Entering MD candidates are eligible to apply.)

* Trainees will be expected to be available for the full duration of the traineeship and to complete all program requirements.

* Individuals with 5 or more years of professional experience in medicine or public health are not eligible for this program.

All qualified students/graduates who have an interest in Hispanic health issues are encouraged to apply.All applications will be given full consideration.
