Title of Project: Improving Tuberculosis Services for the Hispanic Community: "TB Perceptions Among Foreign Born Persons: An Ethnographic Study"

Project Description: The intern worked with the NCHSTP to increase understanding of selected foreign-born groups to assist TB control programs in responding to these populations in a culturally competent manner. This was achieved through qualitative, ethnographic approach conducting 200 interviews using bilingual/bicultural researchers .
